Dear members
As already announced November  First week focus will on members of family
Apocynaceae (Dogbane family; including Asclepiadaceae- the milk weeds).
Members are requested to share photographs of identified plants as well
those meant for identification from this family during this week. Dr. Balkar
Singh will coordinate this episode of monthly First week focus.

December focus will be on Grasses (coordinator Dr. Ritesh Choudhary),
January 2011 Fruits and Vegetables (Coordinator Shri Dinesh Valke.

Future episodes could include Rutaceae, Rosaceae, umbellifers, Acanthaceae,
etc. Members are requested to suggest other such groups which have at least
100 species and preferably not more than 500 reported from India. You may
also volunteer to coordinate a particular episode and indicate the month of
your choice, so that it may be kept in the schedule.
