I have collected J. malabaricum from Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Mumbai. i never found the ovate-lanceolate leafy bracts of the inflorecence. also check the pic at http://www.flowersofindia.net/catalog/slides/Malabar%20Jasmine.html
Does not looks like J. multiflorum either.
