The ripe fruit after peeling is very soft and tender. Very nice to feel. Though
many like it I have not tasted any sweet fruit.

Hallo,

Pithecellobium dulce

But why is it called Dulche? Dulche is sweet or gentel.
With spines it can't be gentel, so is any part of it sweet?
In wiki I found the name ???? ????? Jungle jalebi
The Fotos of Jangle Jalebi looked somewhat different though!!

Regards
Nalini

A low growing spiny shrub with binate leaves, growing in outskirts of Calcutta,
December
No blooms were seen.
Thanks for any inputs
