The plant in question is Jasminum rottlerianum Wall. ex A.DC. Not J.
pubescens Willd.

Jasminum pubescens is currently known as J. multiflorum (Burm,.f.)
Andrews, is a cultivated species in home gardens. Whereas J. rottlerianum
is a wild species with two varieties viz. Var. rottlerianum and var.
glabrior C.B. Clarke. The latter variety is seen only in Kerala.

Kindly see the following article for further reading:

Seema G Gopal & K N Nair 2002. Taxonomic notes on two species of Jasminum
Linn (Oleaceae) from south India. J. Econ. Taxon. Bot. 26: 128-132.
