Nice fotos, looking forward the the next series of the cat and that of
butterflies.
Last winter a pair of /Tagpfauenauge/ (Inachis io; Syn.: Nymphalis io)
came into our Bathroom. I thought they wanted some shelter over the
winter. I had read that they prefer celler or moist places. I did not
know how to offer them such a place. I did not disturb them, thinking,
they knew what they were doing. Anyway I found them dead, a very
disappointing sight. A pity indeed. But that is life.

Hi,
Thanks. This was photographed using the full - zoom as taught to me
by my friend Jayesh Timbadia who is professional photographer. This
helps the subject stand out [while adequately blurring the background]
and at the same time not disturbing the subject.
With regards,
Neil Soares.

Dear Neil:
hello, wonderful sighting... and fotos...
how far were you, or was the mother so intent that your lens etc did
not frighten her enough to fly away...
I love this series...

black-coloured egg of the Tawny Coster was perfectly camouflaged
on the dry capsule of Common Mallow [Thespesia lampas, syn. Azanza
lampas]. Presumably the caterpillar will feed on the fresh new
leaves that will sprout with the onset of the monsoons.
