You may contact College of Forest Nursery, Sirsi. They are con
serving and propagating many endangered and threatened plant species
of Western Ghats ( medicinally and ecologically important). I
understand one Asst Prof. R.Vasudev (Botany) is the lead member of the
task force. As many as 70 species of such plants are being conserved
and propagated. Species like Mappia foetida (used for cancer
treatment), Salacia chinensis (diabetes) ....many more are being
propagated. You may contact him. By the by, Sirsi is in Karnataka.
All the best.
