Ushadi ji i have not commented on your statement... just i wrote bcoz on the
plant list it show synonym of M. paniculata..

M. paniculata leaves are quite smaller and different than of M. exotica,

flowers of exotica are fragrant and not of M. paniculata,, even size
differs..

these are some morphological differences..

M. paniculata can grow like a tree, whereas M. exotica remains shrub or
small tree.
