Soon after I wrote the message above, my mind would not let me rest, I went to flowers of India site and searched for WHITE flowers, found the picture I had in my mind... and the leaves matched, on page number 10 of white flowers at flowers of india dot com.... its white berries I remember had some vertical grooves, but not the cerebral sulcus like grooves of Rudraksha... The pictures are by our own Prashant ji... *Scaveola taccada* .... Googling got me another plant: *Scaevola plumierii* under ASSESSMENT OF COASTAL PLANT DIVERSITY IN INDIA at http://www.bsienvis.nic.in/coastal_plant.htm, which says it only on the coast of Andhra Pradesh and Andaman... WHAT I do not know is what's the difference in these two....
