This reply refers to your subject line. Not a serious concern. The corolla of this plant is 2-lipped; upper lip entire (sometimes) or 2-fid; lower lip deeply 3-lobed.
The prominent 3 lobed lower lip always give an impression that it has 3 petals but actually they are 3 lobes of the lower lip of the bi-lobed corolla.
