This mushroom is not Lentinus (or commonly shiitake) by any mean kindly see the description of the mushroom from the link below to confirm. http://www.mykoweb.com/CAF/species/Neolentinus_ponderosus.html Probably its Russula sp or something quite close to it. I am not very sure of the ID.
