Dear all both the images showed following characters

*Bark turing black towards maturity, Leaves simple, alternate,
oblong-lanceolate,
acute apex, Leaf stalk 10-15 mm long (Seen in picture), Young leaves are
reddish (Also seen in first picture). *

*Are leaves leathery when touched ?*

*Its really difficult to conform the ID with morphological characters, but
the available information pointing towards Diospyros malabarica?*
