Not to blame Madhuri ji most people think all spiny succulents as cacti, that is why Cacti and succulents are generally exhibited together in most exhibitions. Cacti strictly means plants of family Cactaceae, with areoles surrounded by spines of various sizes and generally hairy/woolly within. Most people find it difficult to separate succulent Euphorbia species which may have spines but not areoles.
