Pyrus communis L.

Common name: Pear, common pear

Tree with 3-6 cm long elliptic to oblong-ovate, acute leaves, leathery, 
crenate-serrulate; flowers 22-30 mm across white or tinged with pink; fruit 
pear-shaped, variable in size and colour with numerous cultivars.
