Gurcharan ji, With due respect to you and all members of the group I will again try to explain to you what I meant by what I wrote "But I hope the spelling I have written is correct as I tried to search previous posts in the group for this plant and I found none". I hope the spelling I have written is correct means "most probably what I have written is wrong" because as I tried to search previous posts in the group for this plant and I found none". implying what other experts and members have written in this group is right so kindly give me the correct spelling as I am not finding it and I want see the previous posts. Scientific and botanical names are difficult to spell
As I am not familiar with the botanical and scientific names and their difficult spellings before posting I try first to find on the net something matching pictorally putting wild searches like wild yellow flowers or purple bells because I dont want to waste time of members and experts to identify common plants whose names I do not know. After spending hours I sometimes come somewhere close but as I take this group as the authority on the subject then I go to to see old posts to see if I am at least somewhere close and not make blunders.I can do only pictoral matching and I did that before posting this plant. If after spending hours on the net and not find anything close I am at a total loss and then ask for identification without knowing anything. Even after validation or identification I go back to study all the previous posts. I have tried my level best to explain what I meant about what I wrote. Inspite of this if you still continue to have the same opinion I will take it as my Bad Luck and ofcourse I will be the loser in this. I wish you "A very happy Diwali" Regards Bhagyashri On Sat, Oct 22, 2011 at 11:48 AM, Gurcharan Singh <[email protected]>wrote: > Madhuri ji > This is what is found in your reply: > > "But I hope the spelling I have written is correct as I tried to search > previous posts in the group for this plant and I found none". > > If you are writing the spellings written by you are correct, it obviously > means those written by them are not. > > > -- > Dr. Gurcharan Singh > Retired Associate Professor > SGTB Khalsa College, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007 > Res: 932 Anand Kunj, Vikas Puri, New Delhi-110018. > Phone: 011-25518297 Mob: 9810359089 > http://people.du.ac.in/~singhg45/ > > On Sat, Oct 22, 2011 at 10:59 AM, Madhuri Raut <[email protected]> wrote: > >> Gurcharan ji you have mistaken me. *"I have written spelling written by >> me" * I have not commented anything on spellings given by Dinesh ji or >> Ajinkya ji >> >> Regards >> Bhagyashri >> >> >> * >> * >> On Sat, Oct 22, 2011 at 10:45 AM, Gurcharan Singh <[email protected]>wrote: >> >>> Madhuri ji >>> >>> Spellings given by Dinesh ji and Ajinkya ji are correct >>> >>> *Ipomoea horsfalliae >>> Hook.<http://www.ars-grin.gov/cgi-bin/npgs/html/taxon.pl?20177> >>> * >>> >>> *Ipomoea* *horsfalliae* >>> Hook.<http://www.theplantlist.org/tpl/record/tro-8502584> >>> >>> I would request you that in future before refuting others you should >>> check standard reference sources.
