Dear All Today Morning I returned Home from a 3 day Plant Collection Tour to Chakrata Region. In this tour we 3 staff Members (Me, Ms Mridu and our assistant Mr Ajmer Singh) and 31 students of Bsc 1st, 2nd and 3rd year of our college were there. in this tour also we found about 25 new species which we could not saw last month. I will be sharing soon them one by one. This time we also came to know about many trekking routes of the area starting from 2.5 kms to 42 kms long. Anybody visiting Chakrata region, seeking any help, may contact me. The main attraction of the area are as follows. all Distances from Chakrata Town 1. Deovan and Herbal Nursery- By car 16 KM, Trekk - about 5 Km- For butterflies and lots of flowers much more flowers if you go by trekking route 2. Budher Caves- about 26 Km Main road, 6 Kms trekk/car and then 3 Kms meadows only by trekk- for wild flowers, birds and butterflies. Forest rest house is there in Budher 3. Tiger fall -18 Kms by car less than 1 kms trekk or 7 kms by car and 3 kms by trekk at height of about 1300 mts only. flowers, butterflies and birds. Picturesque beauty of fall total natural 4. Mussoorie Chakrata Road; about 50 kms route very beautiful, with lots of flowers. 5. Yamuna Bridge near Juddo: River rafting 6.
