Thanks Satishji. This is a very common plant in Orissa, and it is found up to an elevation of 200 to 800 m above msl in dryer parts of Orissa. One of the ecological aspect of this species is it is resistant to fire as i found this in almost all fire prone forest patches in Orissa.
