I do not think that this is *Myristica fatua* Houtt. var. *magnifica *(Bedd.) Sinclair (your subject line says *Myristica malabarica*). And some I think this is neither of this . To me this looks like *Knema attenuata* of Myristicaceae family, an endemic tree of the Western Ghats.
*Myristica fatua* Houtt. var. *magnifica* is restricted to the Fresh water swamps in the Southern Western Ghats. By the way, you haven't mentioned the place where you have seen this.
