Thank you Vijay for the possible id. Further, I would like to clarify few points. While checking the Kew herbarium ( http://apps.kew.org/herbcat/getImage.do?imageBarcode=K000633877) the leaves seems to be entire and obtuse at tip (attaching a cropped picture for closer look). Here the leaf tip is mucronate and, towards the tip (though, I don't remember it from the field), it looks like it is slightly serrate.But the specific epithet is apt for its behavior as it looks like *Evolvulus*(vegetative phase) Our library is closed as Saturday is holiday for ATREE. I will refer on Monday.
