Dear Sujana mam i am yet to come across on the culinary uses of the same species. As far as i know (during my ethnobotanical survey in Orissa), this plan is used for mouth ulcer (as it stands for the local name Tundupada: Burning sensation in mouth when taken raw leaves and ripe fruits), and in some other parts used against cough and cold. Yes the Raw leaves are chewed to treat mouth infection. In only one cas i found some people cooked the leaves, but did not disclose why.
