Thanks Prabhu, for the response. But I don't have much details about the plant. It is planted at the FRLHT garden, and must have been collected by Ganesh Babu from Chitradurga or Savandurga in Karnataka. I have seen C. diffusa in Tiruvannamalai (my study area), and is distinct from this plant by having diffuse and branched stems and few-flowered umbels. I also think this is C. umbellata. Flower color and striations seem to be variable. Is there a variety in C. umbellata? Please validate.
