Dear all including Tanay: : This is reclassified into Scheffleria.... now called false aralia ..... not an aralia....
That is your source of confusion.... This is a very funny plant... my nursery sold it as a Scheffleria... that hosts a lot of bugs.... I bought it anyway... but the nurderyman was right... had to get rid of it.. neem oil did not get rid of everything that it was hosting full blast... ANY WAY: The young leaves are serrated skinny and the lower more mature leaves are typical scheffleria like... Here's a comparison shot at Dave's garden....http://davesgarden.com/ guides/pf/showimage/47441/ this lady did a good job... not my picture... someone elses so only giving a link... SO NOW THE OFFICAL NAME ETC IS AS FOLLOWS: It belongs to family: * Araliaceae* and its genus is : *Schefflera * Species Binomial is Schefflera elegantissima Synonym ONE : ***Aralia elegantissima *** Synonym TWO : *** Dizygotheca elegantissima *** @ AARTI: thanks for showing the flowers... I no longer have the plant... so this was a treat. Do you have any pictures of the main stem and lower leaves???? Usha di ================ On Nov 29, 7:48 pm, "Aarti S.
