Dear Dalia:
Its not ONE IMAGE per post,

ITS ONE PLANT per post...you can submit 150kb photos ...as many as may
be needed for id..

Like flowers in the bunch, from full face on, from the side for the
and size of the inflorescence....
then leaves, preferably front and back..to show the shape surface,
hairs or not, venation pattern
the twig where all of this is happening, and the plant... its growth
habit and in some cases the habitat, where its growing... and if its
a tree I personally prefer to see the trunk... surface, the structure
where it meets the ground, and overall canopy...

I suggest you look at Dinesh valke, Balkar Arya et al's submissions
for examples...

I learnt about what to photograph from looking at Herbal medicine
books published in the west, mainly the DK publishers, Peterson's
guides and American Botanical Council newsletters and
magazines... ... and Herbal photography of Steve Foster and
Christopher Hobbs of American Botanical council... esp Steve Foster...
his pictures over the years made us want them in our own gardens,
plant the seeds and watch them and photograph them as they grew...
but never could match his range but still was a great exhilarating AND
CONTINUING pleasant part of my life.... I write to him from time to
time... always encouraging... never an ego problem, never a
tantrum... never admonishing .... very pleasant interaction....

well I said more than I wanted to write.. compensating for not
seeing your post earlier!!! Sorry.

Usha di
