In many regions in South Karnataka C.caudata is used for fencing village areas like agricultural plots, cattlesheds, goatsheds etc. Its propogated by branch cuttings also. Its called 'Konda maavu' because the crushed leaves smell like raw mango.(maavu means mango). By the way Arun kumar ji, did you smell the crushed lvs.
