YES to all of Gurcharanji's items..
I agree with this in particular: I quote : 5. Strive to upload plants with all essential details and upload photographs which contain maximum information to help experts. " end quote I would add: precision and attention to detail is a virtue in Science, cooking, raising children, shopping, crossing the road etc etc... so it is here... AND I HAVE PERSONAL request: please take and submit well focused and detailed photographs... in this digital age everybody can do wonderful photography with small mom and pop digital camera... I do , now that I am older can not carry 10 /20 pounds heavy equipment bag, I carry a small digital camera in my regular ladies purse... and take pictures , if you have seen what I have submitted... I refer to Malvaceace week... I submitted 37 cases.. look and see how great the focus and details are... I am not beating my own drum... but only the fact that a little attention to detail would surprise you , and increase your own creativity... Also see Gurcharanji's pics.. they are also with a prosumer camera... not a dslr... Ranjini Kamath I think does her photography with a mom and pop digital.. look at her pics.. Dinesh and Satish I think use DSLR and macro lenses.. there pictures are wonderful... and Prasad and Pankaj.. do wonderous shooting with their equipage... not everybody can do that...I am learining a great deal from their pictures... and I learned about eflora from wikipedia where I kept finding Gargji's pictures ..excellent quality over the years.. and googling for Garg got me to eflora ... I am not sure what Ushaprabha Page ji uses, but it could not be a very heavy professional dslr... Alok Mahendroo does a fantastik job of using available light and equipment... list is long... Please help me include your name in this list... and who knows you can win in many categories .. that we already have or new ones that are bound to be created... Usha di On Jan 1, 11:33 am, "J.M.
