Nice pictures indeed. On searching Wikipedia I found that it is a member of an uncommon family : Alismataceae as mentioned by you. It is native to wetlands throughout the temperate regions of Europe and Asia; in Britain it is the only native Sagittaria. You have clearly depicted the *arrow head shaped leaves:: sagittate.*...hence the name of the genus and the species.(?)
