*Shorea roxburgii *is a common tree species in Bennarghatte National Park which is close to Bangalore. Even though it is distributed widely it is treated as endangered by IUCN ( http://www.iucnredlist.org/apps/redlist/details/33028/0) Please access a publication on the reproductive ecology of *Shorea roxburghii *from http://threatenedtaxa.org/ZooPrintJournal/2011/September/o276326ix112061-2070.pdf that would be useful to get more information. Since the file size is too big I am not trying to attach herewith.
