" THE PICTURE [POSTED ON RHODODENDRON, IF TAKEN IN OOTY HILLS, IS
RHODODENDRON NILIGIRICUM Zenk.

it is found growing in nilgiris, , palnis and hills of s. kerala above
1666 m in open places. please see my book ' forest trees of the
western ghats'. it is not found in karnataka.

The flowers of the climber posted appear to be of thunbergbgia
mysorensis, which is quite common in the western ghats.
