*Clerodendrum infortunatum* L., Sp. Pl., 635, 1753
Syn: *Clerodendrum viscosum* Vent. Nom. Superfl.; *Volkameria infortunata*Roxb.

Common Names:  Hill Glory flower
Hindi: Bhant
Sans: Barhichuda, bhantaka

The plant has been named as C. viscosum Vent., in recent years, a name 
which is illegitimate being a Nomen superfluum. A densely hairy shrub with 
opposite thick ovate leaves and sweet scented white flowers with pink 
centre arranged in branched clusters; stamens much exserted; calyx enlarged 
and turning red and surrounding black fruit.
