My query had stemmed from finding that a thorough search on internet yields
more results for *A. crispum* than *A. crispa*. Your clarification
regarding use of neuter gender epithets in the Flora of British India is
convincing.


The second part of query regarding endemism of *A. crispa* to the Western
Ghats rose due to finding its entry in few white papers, listed here for
