Dear Ranjini:
nice to know the full name
i used to have one
then,
It was so popular a few years ago
silk reproductions were available at very high prices
everybody wanted to keep some in the home...
I bought a few sprigs for my mom, she gave them pride of the place on
dining room display cabinet
they are washed periodically, the silk holds up and going strong

may be one of these days I'll take some pics of the artificial one that
looks so real!!

Angel? yes, esp if they were white (with pink or blue, traditional angelic
figurines and paintings) , we could strongly associate them with angels ..
being yellow at least I did not readily think of angels, but you are
right... they have a look...

Pondicherry ashram has a couple of books by Mother about the spiritual
aspects of flowers if you can find the book look it up and tell me if this
or other orchids were thus defined by Mother?
