Subject:Threatened ferns of India

**

Namaste to everyone. I have just added a file with a list of 337 indigenous
Threatened Indian pteridophytes (species and subspecies), giving revised
upper IUCN categories.
Other S. Asian countries are in preparation, but I'm taking a short break
now as I'm hoping to go up to Annapurna Himal to look for interesting
Polystichum species - but it depends on whether we'll have transport, or
strikes or curfews from tomorrow as the Nepal Govt. has effectively
collapsed today. But if I can get there I hope to be out of it, off
trekking from Pokhara!
I'd appreciate any comments about the list - omissions, errors etc. if
possible ([email protected]) as inevitably there is a certain
element of subjectivity in it and different people's experience would
greatly help.
Best wishes,
Chris Fraser-Jenkins, Kathmandu.
