Sir / Madam,

Taking cue from Vijayasankar Ji searched for *Symplocos* species, the
results are -

   - species of *Symplocos* available in Himalaya/India -
   http://www.nationaalherbarium.nl/Symplocosweb/descriptions.HTM
   - not reported (couldn't find one) in India, yet a close match -
   http://www.duke.edu/~cwcook/trees/syti.html
   - reported from Meghalaya -
   https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/cSVmTlaPq1ZC8dDEN84R-w
   - somewhat matching -
   http://www.asianplant.net/Symplocaceae/Symplocos_cerasifolia.htm

But the problem lies in the tips of those berries. Symplocos seems to be
having persistent calyx tips on their berries.

Thank you & Regards,

Surajit
