Hallo All

I am looking for the origin of the word 'amplissima' for *Ficus amplissima.* as
far as i could search i have found that it means the 'largest' but what is
the significance of this meaning for *Ficus amplissima. *the fruits,
leaves, tree and even the number of fruits per branch (even if we consider
that amplissima is taken frrom the word 'ample') do not show any such
characteristic.

Can any one please guide me.

Probably Dinesh Valke Sir may help. he normally adds this kind of
information with his photographs on Flickr.
