"Though Calicut and Coimbatore Herabria with good libraies are helpful to
determine all species slowly .For spice plants like Cinnamomum and their
relatives Useful Plants of Phillipines by Brown with likenesse of plants
and also photographs is worth havng Only two booksellrs in India listed
these along with one by my friend Dr Ayensu of USA.Any one in Hydeabad can
see these two books at Tirumalgiri.Litsea and Neolitsea are wild relatives
mentioned in plant genetic resources by Raju et Sanjappa (Bill bot Surv 94)
.Late VRK Reddy and myself  were at Int Conf Genetics as we collected live
Oryza jeyporensis} Indians have not yet begun except study of a dozen crop
plants.Prof Bunting.Pickersgill,did visit ICRISAT but we have not availed
their help .-dcsraju FRHS"
