Sir,

Thank you very much for providing me the ID keys to *K. nemoralis* & *K.
brevifolia*. But, i fail to understand the terms used in the keys. These
terms are new to me. I tried and failed to learn about them using google
search. I need more help on these.

Except for glume colour, i fail to sort out which of the attached pic shows
the, "central spike larger than others; nut bearing glumes winged; (glumes
white); winged towards distal end, wings ciliate" .... (the key to *K.
nemoralis*).

According to eflora China -

   - Leaves usually shorter than culm ..... *K. nemoralis* -
   http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=2&taxon_id=242101155
   - Leaves shorter to slightly longer than culm .....*K. brevifolia* -
   http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=2&taxon_id=200026870

Glume color -

   - Glumes pale to straw colored ....*K. nemoralis* -
   http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=2&taxon_id=242101155
   - Glumes white and rusty brown maculate or rarely straw colored ..... *K.
   brevifolia* -
   http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=2&taxon_id=200026870

Culms -

   - Culms distant or laxly tufted ......*K. nemoralis* -
   http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=2&taxon_id=242101155
   - Culms serially arranged, sometimes also laxly tufted .....*K.
   brevifolia* -

Am i going completely wrong way?

Regards,

Surajit Koley
