Hi, The tree featured here is the Indian Laburnum [Cassia fistula]. It is also called the Pudding Pipe tree. In Hindi it is called Bahava or Amaltas. It is a fairly common tree seen all over India. Please check the archives of this group for my photographs of this. With regards, Neil Soares.

On reaching Delhi I saw a tree which seemed to be similar to the one I had seen on the way.... Maybe it is the same tree (at least the inflorescence seemed to be the same).. maybe not I'll let you decide... if this particular species can be found from Delhi to the foothills of the Himalayas... Location Delhi/NOIDA Altitude 200 mts habit tree Habitat Planted Flowering June height 15 mts regards Alok P.S. Perhaps this is one of my last Observations from Kalatope/Chamba region... I have recently shifted to Paris, France and though I have found a lot of flowers in the countryside around Paris... I do not know if it would be proper form to share on this forum which is meant specifically for Indian species.... Until I am back in India... I will continue to watch the beautiful observations posted here... warm regards and Thank you for the wonderful guidance and help I have received...
