Thanks friends for kind words. Vijay ji you deserved it all the way, only
that I was cautious all this time.
I am in California with my son and his family. It was tiring but
enjoyable. It was good feeling to realize that our Terminal 3 of Delhi is
perhaps one the most beautiful and best managed airports presently. We had
a testing time at LA where we thought three and half hours is a long time
but, thanks to mismanagement (better way to keep yourself in good mood) at
the airport where immigration check, collecting baggage, customs clearance,
walking nearly more than a km with trolley from terminal B to Terminal 7,
locating the check in counter where the attendant just throws baggage on
the belt (without any paperwork), our walking up to assigned Gate 75A
(boarding passes issued at Delhi) to discover after some time that our
boarding gate had changed to 84 (more more than 800 m away). We barely
reached the boarding gate 15 minutes before the boarding time for flight to
SFO, where of course my son with whole team of friends in many cars were
there to receive us. We forgot all the tough time but had to wait another
anxious 15 minutes to be reassured that baggage just thrown on the belt at
LA has actually reached SFO. I was all the time telling people around how
would have the airlines managed supposing we did not hand over the baggage
at LA, but claimed the same at SFO because we had the booking stickers with
us. This is how the world runs everywhere.
Ushadi, yes you will see many uploads from California in our
forthcoming Brassicaceae week, where I would be able to show many Brassica
vegetables. I already have many photographs taken in 2010 from Farmers'
market here which reminds of weekly bazaars in India. Hope to add few more
in nearly 3 weeks still available for this episode.
