Rubus niveus Thunb. as understood now is the plant with 7-9 leaflets described under the name R. lasiocarpus Sm. and the plant described as R. niveus Wall. ex G. Don in FBI with usually 3 leaflets is now mostly known as R. pedunculosus (syn: R. hypagyrus).
