I have been wondering if this dyer was the indian infamy dyer ... no...
its a different  MR. Dyer...   I was glad... so would you all...
googled for "*who is this plant named for: hypericum dyeri?*  "
middle of the page got me the Flowers of India page and there I found the
following...
I quote....."Dyer's Hypericum is named for Robert Allen Dyer, 20th century
South African botanist and taxonomist"  end quote....

so am glad to know

and lesson... even before googling just go to FOI site...chances are the
answer's going to be staring at tyou to discover it...
