Usha di, Strobilanthes kunthiana (called as Neel-Kurinji) is reported to be
flowering once in 12 years. Munnar is probably the best place to watch.
Last mass flowering was in the year 2006 and next one  will be in the yr
2018.

I think Karvi (Strobilanthes callosus)   flowers once in 7 years.
