Sir,

I change my proposal, for-

   1. there is a similar pic in FoN that has been identified as *P.
barbata* (L.)
   H. Hara. -
   http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=110&taxon_id=242100088
   2. but the illustration at FoP shows different type of ochrea -
   http://www.efloras.org/object_page.aspx?object_id=44863&flora_id=5
   3. pics of *P. barbata* can also be seen at -
   http://www.natureloveyou.sg/Persicaria%20barbata/Main.html
   4. in contrast to above, pic of *P. limbata* (Meisn.) Hara can be found
   at -

http://www.zimbabweflora.co.zw/speciesdata/image-display.php?species_id=121830&image_id=2
and
   at
   http://www.zimbabweflora.co.zw/speciesdata/species.php?species_id=121830

Bengal Plants. ii. 884. informs -

   - limb of ochrea scabrid, ciliate, spreading or recurved

F. B. I. v. 30. informs -

   - leaves 4-8 inch, shortly petioled lanceolate acuminate.....
inflorescence and nut of *P. tomentosum*.....

I think it is *Persicaria limbata* (Meisn.) Hara, NOT *P. barbata* (L.) H.
Hara.

Thank you,

Regards,

surajit
