This is Cyrtococcum accrescens. The identifying character is the 
plano-convex spikelet (One side is flat and other side is convex). Among 
different species of Cyrtococcum, only C.accrescence has a fully expanded 
open panicle. All other species have different degrees of constrictions. 
Another character of this genus is that all the parallel veins arising from 
the base of the leaf again merge together towards the tip of the leaf. This 
grass is found in dense shade on forest floor and road sides in forest 
fringes. Also found in gardens under shade.
