I would like to give heads up about the session titled "Translation Quality Assurance' at the Indic meet this weekend. The following is the brief overview of the discussions: Overview: ======= Translated User Interface content is often interspersed with errors that compromise the semantics, and overall quality of the results. Identification of these procedural errors and preventive checkpoints can mitigate their recurrence during the translation process and eventually be adopted as best practices. The checkpoints are focussed to be integrated during the translation process, such that erroneous results can be immediately identified by the translator/reviewer and corrected. Session objectives: =============== With the presence of many translators/translation teams currently pursuing translations in the same domains/projects, ideas related to defining, identification, prevention and correction of common errors as well as translation best practices can be shared. Additionally, past experiences and present plans can be discussed to fully understand the scope and reach of a possible framework. Expected Attendees: =============== Translators/Reviewers/Translation team members with experience of translating user interface content and an understanding of the possible error scenarios.
