Hi,
after doing some study on problem we discussed in last IndLinux meet
problem : en_US locale not sorting indic data correctly
unable to reproduce same error, all things are working fine with en_US
http://pravins.fedorapeople.org/sorting/test_unsorted
http://pravins.fedorapeople.org/sorting/test_sorted
above sorting results i got for en_US locale,
ta_IN data is not getting sorted becuase it is still not part of
iso14651_t1_common and it is getting ignored while sorting
please try following command for testing sorting
LANG=en_US.UTF-8 sort test_unsorted > test_sorted
We have in plan to move ta_IN, as_IN and or_IN collation data to
iso14651_t1_common, so soon these things will also work fine
Best Regards,
Pravin S
