Children's Summer Reading April 4, 2005 — Barry Cunningham, best known as the publisher who discovered JK Rowling, will be talking about his latest discovery, Stuart Hill's new book, The Cry of the Icemark. The Cry of the Icemark is a children's fantasy book and already is a best seller in the UK, it is poised to be the next "Harry Potter-like" craze. It is also seen as the beginning of a new type of epic- think Lord of the Rings with contemporary characters. The book, which has sold 25,000 hardback copies since its UK publication a month ago, will be launched Stateside in April via Scholastic. International rights for the book have been sold to over 14 countries.
