Part 1 : JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: DB Development Engineer
Reporting to (job title): Server Lab Manager
Overall purpose of job:
Responsible for the Oracle Database development and maintenance
activities in a dedicated project or domain.
Main activities / tasks
Analyze/design database implementations and changes with requirements
from requirements from regional sales team.
Develop using SQL and PL/SQL.
Database support in product and project maintenance in terms of fixing
bugs
Review PL/SQL , SQL and perform performance tuning.
Perform basic DBA activities viz. creating DBs using pre-defined
script, cloning Database using exp/imp.
Other features of job:
Successful candidate will be part of our DB Team which is actively
involved in project design, development and support.
Prior working experience in web development Teams preferred.
Location of job: Singapore
Part 2 : JOB REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge and skills:
Strong PL/SQL & SQL development in Oracle Database.
Analysis and Design of Database for software development
Exposure to normal day-to-day activities of Oracle Database Basic
Administration.
Experienced in Database performance tuning
Prior Experience in Database ware house projects preferred.
Experience in install, configuration, maintain, and troubleshooting
Oracle 9I and 10g database on Unix and NT servers. Apply patches and upgrades
Education, qualifications, and special training:
Degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering
Experience:
3 -6 years' working experience in Oracle Database
