This article discusses the internal error "ORA-600 [4414]", what
it means and possible actions. The information here is only applicable
to the versions listed and is provided only for guidance.

VERSIONS:
versions 6.0 to 9.2
DESCRIPTION:
There are 2 varieties of this internal error:
With 4 additional arguments:

At various places within the code, Oracle checks to make sure the current
savepoint level is one greater than the old savepoint level. If this check
fails, ORA-600 [4414] is logged.. There are usually other errors in
the error stack along with this one.
With no additional arguments:
-----------------------------
This error can also occur when there are problems cleaning up a
distributed transaction.
FUNCTIONALITY:
TRANSACTION CONTROL
IMPACT:
PROCESS FAILURE
POSSIBLE INSTANCE FAILURE - if background process dies.
NON CORRUPTIVE - No underlying data corruption.
SUGGESTIONS:
For repeatable occurrences, please submit the trace
files and alert.log to Oracle Support Services for further analysis.
