I am using sybase on Linux Suse.
I need a procedure how to check the database status from isql. So is there any
other procedure to check weather sybase database up or shutdown cause i see
log from application taht connect to sybase like this " Connecting DB
fails(20004) Reconnect with database(IP=10.97.181.201,No=15)(kill old) failed.
The system is too busy or wrong;The data is different between SIU and CP(2008)

If anybody has any idea, please let me know. It will be immence help for me.
