CMIIW = correct me if i'm wrong, Yes, you are able to shoot in warp speed IF you and your enemy's ship are in one and the same warp bubble. For example, your ship is being tractor-beamed by your enemy's ship and it went to warp 9.9. If your arsenal is full, you can fire at your enemy at will. However, if you entered the warp speed after your enemy's ship engaged to warp, you won't see it until it dropped out of warp... let alone fire at it.
It is the same thing if you enter a hyperspace window (not subspace). If your enemy followed you closely and jumped to the same hyperspace window as you entered it, then your enemy can fire on you. However, if you enter a wormhole, it is not the same. According to stargate theory, when you enter the wormhole window in a stargate, you are ripped into particles like in a transporter beam. Thus until your ship materialize in the other side of the gate, you are in suspended animation... you didn't even breath, mate. Thus firing each other inside a warp bubble or hyperspace will not affect the worlds or materials you were passing by. However, in subspace, CMIIW, if you fire your weapon randomly, you might hit objects near you and destroy it. Imagine a run down by a mob. As their car passing, they rolled down the window, aimed at the target and shoot to kill. Hope this explains enough. I'm not Eri who can make you 'mules'. He he he... my science barely scratch the surface but enough to give you rough understanding of the scenes (hopefully). @Eri... when it comes to CSI, I dare you to compete in 'mules'!!
