Angels or angelic figures is part of mythology and religion. Whether it is visible or not it is up to the person who perceives the figures. Say, you took a photograph and captured a winged foggy figure, or you walked in a cemetery at night and say a ghostly figures with wings...It is common and understandable if you perceive it as an angel.
It is all about perception. The truth about these figures have never been confirmed nor denied. Like angels; the proof of the existence of satan, demons and spirits are debatable because it is based on perception of each person. While proof is a hard material evidence; perception depends a lot in one's faith, point of view and belief.
